【摘要】:ThisStandardspecifiestwotestmethodsfordeterminingtherefractiveindexofplas-tics,namely:--MethodA:arefractemetricmethodformeasuringtherefractiveindexofmouldedparts,castorextrudedsheetorfilm,bymeansofarefractometer.Itisapplicablenotonlytoisotropictransparent,translucent,colouredoropaquematerialsbutalsotoanisotropicmaterials.Themethodisrecommendedwhengreataccuracyisre-quired.Itisnotapplicabletopowderedorgranulatedmaterial.--MethodB:animmersionmethod(makinguseoftheBeckelinephenomenon)fordeterminingtherefractiveindexofpowderedorgranulatedtransparentmaterialsbymeansofamicroscope.Monochromaticlightshould,ingeneral,beusedtoavoiddispersioneffects.TheaccuracyofthismethodisaboutthesameasthatofmethodA.Itisapplicabletoisotropictranslucent,colouredmaterialsbutisnotapplicabletoopaquematerialsnortoanisotropicmaterials.NOTE1Therefractiveindexisafundamentalpropertywhichcanbeusedforcheckingpurityandcomposition,fortheidentificationofmaterialsandforthedesignofopticalparts.Thechangeinrefractiveindexwithtem-peraturemaygiveanindicationoftransitionpointsofmaterials.NOTE2TheaccuracyofmethodBisapproximatelythesameasthatofmethodAwhenanexperiencedoperatorusesthemethodwithextremecare.NOTE3TheInternationalStandardcorrespondingtothisStandardisasfollows.ISO489:1999Plastics-Determinationofrefractiveindex(MOD)Inaddition,symbolswhichdenotethedegreeofcorrespondenceinthecontentsbetweentherelevantInternationalStandardandJISareIDT(identical),MOD(modified),andNEQ(notequivalent)accordingtoI80/IECGuide21.
