【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminewearobtainedwithfluidlubricantsundertheprescribedtestconditions.Theuserofthistestmethodshoulddeterminetohisorherownsatisfactionwhetherresultsofthistestprocedurecorrelatewithfieldperformanceorotherbenchtestmachines.Ifthetestconditionsarechanged,wearvaluesmaychangeandrelativeratingsoffluidsmaybedifferent.1.1ThistestmethodcoversaprocedureformakingapreliminaryevaluationofthewearpropertiesoffluidlubricantsbymeansoftheFalexPinandVeeBlockLubricantTestMachine.Note18212;Certainfluidlubricantsmayrequiredifferenttestparametersdependingupontheirperformancecharacteristics.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
