【摘要】:Theestimateofoxidationstabilityisusefulincontrollingthecontinuityofthispropertyforbatchacceptanceofproductionlotshavingthesameoperation.ItisnotintendedthatthistestmethodbeasubstituteforTestMethodD943orbeusedtocomparetheservicelivesofnewoilsofdifferentcompositions.Thistestmethodisalsousedtoassesstheremainingoxidationtestlifeofin-serviceoils.Note18212;AmodificationoftherotatingvesselmethodhasbeenpublishedasTestMethodD2112,whichusesasimilarprocedureandapparatusbutalower(140x00B0;C)bathtemperature.TestMethodD2112requiresduplicatetestingandTestMethodD2272conductedduplicatetestinginthepast.1.1Thistestmethodutilizesanoxygen-pressuredvesseltoevaluatetheoxidationstabilityofnewandin-serviceturbineoilshavingthesamecomposition(basestockandadditives)inthepresenceofwaterandacoppercatalystcoilat150176;C.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see6.2,6.4,6.5,6.6,6.10,and6.11.
