【摘要】:1.1Thisguidedescribesmethodsfordeterminingandevaluatingcausesofwaterleakageinlow-slopedroofs.Forthispurpose,waterpenetrationisconsideredleakageandthereforeproblematic,iscausingorislikelytocauseprematuredeteriorationoftheroof,buildingoritscontents,orisadverselyaffectingtheperformanceofothercomponentsofthebuildingAroofisconsideredanassemblyincludingthemembrane,insulation,vaporretarder(ifrequired),deck,andstructuralcomponents.1.1.1Thisguideexcludesmoisture-relatedproblemsinroofscausedbycondensation.Note1Condensation-Moisture-relatedproblemsinroofsystemsmaybecausedbycondensationofhumidairoriginatingfromwithinthebuildingandbeincorrectlyattributedtoleakagefromrainwater.Theprotocolforaninvestigationofdampnessduetocondensationandiscomplicated,requiresspecialexpertise,andisbeyondthescopeofthisguide.Forinformationregardingcondensationproblemsastheyrelatetoroofs,refertoASTMMNL18,ASTMMNL40,andASHRAEHandbook2005Fundamentals.1.2Investigativetechniquesdiscussedmaybeintrusive,disruptive,ordestructive.Itistheresponsibilityoftheinvestigatortoestablishthelimitationsofuse,toanticipateandadviseofthedestructivenatureofsomeprocedures,andtoplanforrepairingandselectivereconstructionasnecessary.1.3Thisguidedoesnotaddresssteep-slopedroofs,standingorflatseammetalroofs,orarchitecturalstandingseammetalroofs.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
